Gertrude notices something off about Gerry.

Gertrude and Tim wait for news about Gerry.
Scarcely saved from the gulp of death
Gerry gets discharged from the hospital.
And what you spurn, I'll wear
Tim and Gerry prepare to leave for Pittsburgh.
Heart-sick with hope deferred
Christmas Eve in New York City.
That all my past results in "if"
Gertrude begins to have suspicions.
And never give a thought to night
Tim gets a good lead on the Circus of the Other.
Come home across the desolate sea
Gertrude summons the boys back to London.
But silent made my choice
Tim returns to the Institute.
And yet we little understand or know
Tim meets the new Archives crew.
One round monotonous of change
The new crew settles in.
So wilt thou toil in patience, and abide
An unexpected problem.
Forbear her tears, forbear her blood
Tim and Gerry do some investigating.
